(4)這次的參訪活動對於你在學習科技的學習與生涯規劃有什麼啟發與影響?

皮克斯動畫原本並不是一個被看好的公司,但他們卻努力的嚐試去突破逆境,慢慢的產出的動畫受人注目,並且勇於使用新的科技來創造更細緻的人物形象,進而打造出人人景仰的動畫王國。

每部動畫不僅僅有著娛樂的目的,更有教育的意涵。比方說「海底總動員」父親對孩子的愛還有眾人的同心協力,都是值得我們學習的。所以我覺得當我們以後出社會不管是為人師表或是在從事其他行業,要做的不只是做好自己分內的工作,更應該帶給大眾更多有意義的訊息。

而在學習與科技方面,它可以透過動畫把具有教育意義的內容傳達給觀看著,它多了生動的角色.可愛的人物,在看一部卡通影片的同時,也在學習新知。

皮克斯動畫也見證著數位影像的沿革,一直不斷的自我突破也一直不斷的求創新,不滿足於現狀努力的再作出更完美的動畫。這個世代,有創照力是一項非常重要的能力,高科技不斷的發展,要怎麼取得競爭力,我想創新是一大關鍵。

(3)整體而言,此次的參訪經驗最讓你難忘的是什麼?

我最難忘的應該是幻燈箱,一開始我進去時它還在轉動,我一直以為那是動畫,後來當它放慢速度後,我才發現原來這是好幾個相同布偶組成的連續動作。當下有點覺得自己被欺騙又有點驚喜的感覺,這讓我聯想到,小時後上課很無聊時喜歡在書本的頁腳畫上一連串的連續動作,然後開始翻動書本,它就會變成一個會動的小動畫。

還有一個也讓我印象深刻,用炭筆繪製而成的一幅圖畫中,作者巧妙的運用大小對比的手法,把小尼莫與大鯊魚的關係表現的很出色。那幅圖中幾乎都是大鯊魚的身軀,但當你仔細一看原來在右下角的珊瑚礁背後,藏了一隻滿臉驚恐的尼莫,如果只是一掃而過的人說不定還沒有注意到尼莫的存在呢!所以我覺得作者的手法很細膩,運用了對比關係.和空間位置表現出尼莫的弱勢與內心的害怕。

(2)整體而言,這次的參訪活動你有什麼收穫?

在看一部卡通或者是一部動畫時,從來沒有思考過背後的過程是如此的繁複。從最開始的角色決定.故事內容.人物個性.形象都是經過一次次討論.修改才呈現出來的。ㄧ個簡單的表情或動作可能需要10幾張圖片的拼湊,藝術家們要有非常大的耐心與毅力才可能完成一部動畫。而皮克斯動畫對人物樣貌刻畫的進步是大家有目共睹的,從最先開始只是幾個幾何圖案的拼湊到細膩地描寫,我想將來一定還會有更驚人的突破。

展覽當中除了展示一些概念圖,以及完成的部分,另外最特別的就是有大量的雕塑作品,是皮克斯在人物確認之後所做出來的實際成品,再觀察成品之後,再進行最後的確認和修改。而且一部動畫有許多的環節,如果有一個雕塑品出來後,也可以避免每個環節的設計師因為有不同的設計概念,而破壞了原本的角色外貌。
而概念圖的使用材料也相當多元,從基本的鉛筆、麥克筆到剪貼、粉彩等等,其中海底總動員中的某些場景是以炭筆來呈現的,每一筆都是如此的細膩,也明白的表現出了皮克斯的素材多元化。
皮克斯在做一部動畫的時候,會因故事的需要,進行素材的取用,並且到各地取景、找出靈感,再進行修正。
展覽館中還有一個很有趣的作品,名稱叫做"幻燈箱",它是由好幾個布偶組成的連續動作,在快數旋轉之後再用閃爍的燈光,讓你誤以為真的在做動作,他就是動畫的前身。

台北市立美術館「皮克斯動畫20年」展,展出皮克斯歷年來膾炙人口的動畫手稿、數位繪圖、3D人物雕塑共550件作品,由藝術的角度呈現皮克斯動畫背後的創作人才、科技及製作過程。『從賣座的動畫片「玩具總動員」、「海底總動員」、「瓦力」、以及最近將上映的「天外奇蹟」,全部都呈現出他們創作的過程。』
皮克斯動畫工作室(Pixar Animation Studios),是一家專門製作電腦動畫的公司。該公司也發展尖端的電腦三維軟體,包括有專為三維動畫設計的軟體:RenderMan,使用該軟體可做出如相片般擬真的三維景像。皮克斯公司甫創立就引起了世人的注意。在他們於SIGGRAPH的首次公演會中,他們的動畫短片贏得了大眾的掌聲。並且,他們的作品成為了電腦動畫的經典。他們的動畫被收錄在電腦動畫教學的教材裡作參考。
從1995年的《玩具總動員》開始,我們認識了一種全新的動畫片樣式─3D動畫。它以電腦技術突破二维平面空間的限制,打造了一個虛擬的立體世界。而帶來這石破驚天變革的正是皮克斯動畫工作室。皮克斯用電腦創造了3D動畫的傳奇,一舉達成傳統二維動畫所缺乏的立體感和可觸感。皮克斯動畫的創作者也從不稱自己是電腦工程師或設計師,而是藝術家,堅信3D動畫從概念到完成的過程就是一種藝術創作。《皮克斯動畫20年》內容包括繪畫手稿、概念、雕塑、數位裝置等,忠實地呈現電腦動畫創作背後細膩與實務操作的過程。為了能支援故事情節的發展,藝術家們會嘗試任何可使用的媒材,進行討論,像是將兩張紙重疊以呈現不同的效果、超人特攻隊的拼貼、或是採用其他知名插畫家的 風格、手繪搭配電腦等。
